A man who killed his ex-girlfriend’s family, who lived in an RV, in a Virginia apartment complex in 2012 was angry with her for cheating on him, according to an affidavit.
In a 911 call recorded by his wife and posted online, Scott Wahlstrom said his ex, a 28-year-old female, had been “sick” and had had a history of violence and mental health problems.
He then went into his RV and shot his ex in the head, the affidavit states.
His wife was able to escape the RV and was rescued by police.
The former girlfriend told police she was living in the apartment complex with her sister when Wahlstroth showed up.
He told her to come inside the apartment and he and his wife had been arguing.
Wahlstrom’s wife told police that Wahlstons behavior toward her was erratic and she left her husband and two daughters at home, according a police affidavit.
Wills ex-wife said she never saw her husband in the RV or anything, according the affidavit.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
He also was sentenced in August to 30 years in prison for assault.
